After a robust assessment process by the Structural Timber Association’s accreditation team, we’re thrilled to have retained our STA Assure Gold membership status for the fourth year in succession.
The scheme offers reassurance to the self build and construction community that it’s members meet or exceed current legislation and regulatory requirements, together with providing confidence in the use of structural timber.

We strive to provide our SIPs customers with a first class service in all areas of our business and this accolade reflects that.
As part of our membership of the STA and following a business management assessment to establish compliance to expected management controls in line with the STA Assure Scheme, our Quality Management Systems have been recognised as meeting the STA Assure Gold standard – the highest level of achievement.
The quality standard assessment covered factory production control systems; control of documented information; resources management; control processes; element realisation, design, engineering and development; control of non-conformance; purchasing; production and services provision; measurement, analysis and improvement.
As the largest UK trade association within the structural timber sector, the STA works hard to enhance quality and drive product innovation through technical guidance. As part of this, the STA has reached agreement with the NHBC, who will now accept STA Assure Gold members as compliant with Chapter 6.2 of NHBC's assessment processes for timber structures, without the need for further review or completing a HB2445 form.
Seven other industry leading structural warranty and building control bodies also formally recognise the scheme: LABC Warranty, Premier Guarantee, Protek Warranty, Build-Zone Warranty, Self-Build Zone Warranty, BuildStore BuildCare Warranty and ABC+ which adds a further layer of reassurance for self builders and members of the construction community.
