Here at SIPS@Clays we strive for excellence and we were delighted to have recently been awarded one of the top accolades within the structural timber sector – the STA Assure Gold.
As the cornerstone of our company ethos, we’ve always been committed to delivering a service that exceeds current legislation and regulatory requirements and strive to provide our SIPs customers with a first class service in all areas of our business.
As part of our membership of the Structural Timber Association (STA) and following their business management assessment to establish our compliance to expected management controls in line with the STA Assure Scheme, our Quality Management Systems have been recognised as meeting the STA Assure Gold standard – the highest level of achievement.
During a quality standard assessment that covered factory production control systems; control of documented information; resources management; control processes; element realisation, design, engineering and development; control of non-conformance; purchasing; production and services provision; measurement, analysis and improvement, SIPS@Clays scored 100% in eight of the categories audited.
“We’re delighted to have achieved the STA Assure Gold accreditation and to be able to further demonstrate our commitment to self-builders, construction professionals and the wider construction industry".Ian Clay, Partner, SIPS@Clays
Ian continued: “We dedicate a lot of time ensuring that our procedures allow us to provide the very best service across the board and this award, coupled with our recent work to gain ISO9001, will give our customers reassurance that SIPS@Clays is a leader in the delivery of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and also within the structural timber sector as a whole.
“As SIPS@Clays continues to grow and the popularity of SIPs and timber construction flourishes, accreditations such as this and our strict adherence to industry standards will set us apart from our competitors and further establish us as the foremost SIPs supplier in the UK”.
As the largest UK trade association within the structural timber sector, the STA works hard to enhance quality and drive product innovation through technical guidance.
As part of this, the STA has reached a formal agreement with the NHBC, who will now accept STA Assure Gold members as compliant with Chapter 6.2 of NHBC's assessment processes for timber structures, without the need for further review or completing a HB2445 form.
This agreement, together with SIPS@Clays status as STA Assure Gold members, will give clients a further layer of reassurance, bolstering confidence that working with SIPS@Clays is the right choice.
