Smarthomze – Net Zero Energy

When it comes to building your own home, then it is important to take into account the kind of project that you are undertaking and what you want the outcome to be. A green eco friendly home is something to take into consideration, as it means that you are doing your bit for the environment, but alongside this you will be saving long term when it comes to your energy bills.

The Smarthomze concept helps you to eliminate the second biggest cost of owning and running your home – that being how much it costs in terms electricity. The Smarthomze concept is designed to eliminate these costs and therefore enable you to live in a mostly self sufficient property.

Smarthomze are a range of prefabricated eco-home kits that are in a range of sizes to suit the individual however they can also be configured to individual specifications. These are the ideal solution in a time when energy prices are spiralling and as such represent a great long term investment, as well as allowing you to do your bit for the environment.

Smarthomze are built using SIPS (structural insulated panels) which allow for a fast efficient build that creates a tight enclosed space ensuring that your property is well insulated,. The wall and roof are already prebuilt from SIPs which means that the assembly and erection on site is a speedy process, with less mess made. SIPs in comparison to traditional building methods are much more energy efficient and therefore they save money and do less damage to the environment.

Because of improvements in technology, Smarthomze are affordable because of the use of photovoltaic cells (solar panels) and SIPs to keep the heat in and cold out. This makes Smarthomze potentially the most cost effective method of housing for a whole range of people. A Smarthomze kit includes:

• Floor Beams

• R-38 floor panels

• R-38 wall panels

• R-50 roof panels

• 2nd floor framing and panels

• Full 6’ wrap around porch w/roof panels

• Siding

• Metal roofing

• Photovoltaic System

• Mini-spilt heating and cooling unit

• Heat Recovery Ventilating unit

• R-5+ windows and doors
