Energy Efficient SIPs Townhouses, Ouseburn, Newcastle

SIPs designed, fabricated and installed by SIPS@Clays on behalf of Newcastle based developer Modobloc, The Ropes is a brand new development of seven luxury SIPs townhouses, built on the site of a former rope factory on the banks of the River Tyne in Ouseburn, Newcastle.

Utilising SIPs construction for the first time, Modobloc were keen to embrace the many benefits of this modern methods of construction, not only to create energy efficient homes but also to take advantage of the speedy build and reduced waste that a SIPs building systems gives.

SIPS@Clays worked closely with main contractor Tyneside Developments Limited to deliver and install the superstructure in just six weeks.

Architecturally designed by Edwards Architecture along with engineering specialist JC Consulting, the four storey, three bedroom homes have a top floor roof terrace, second floor balcony and uninterrupted views of the River Tyne.
